Style Series | Jumpsuit part 1

Ahh the jumpsuit. Or, more precisely, this jumpsuit.

This was the first thing I purchased off my wishlist for my Summer capsule, and I love it!

It’s the perfect piece for those warm sunny days, and can be effortlessly taken from day to night.

For me, it’s a very ‘out there’ piece due to the three – yes, three! – tonal prints that make up the design, however with its drawstring waist and relaxed loose fit, it’s super flattering and extremely comfortable.

The silhouette here is more of a loose on top, loose on bottom proportion that strays away from the comfort and safety of my beloved loose on top, fitted on bottom. However with the current weather in the UK ranging from 20 to 30 degrees, I’m afraid the black skinny jeans just aren’t going to cut it, and so I’m happily finding other suitable alternatives.

Fit note: This jumpsuit runs true to size. I’m usually somewhere between a UK 10-12, and I got this in the 10. FYI, it looks huge and sort of shapeless on the hanger, but once it’s on and you’ve tied the drawstring waist it’s completely transformed! Can be a slight pain to get on due to the amount of buttons and wiggling my shoulders through the arm holes, but I can forgive it that for how good I feel when I wear it.

This is probably the simplest way to style it, but I’ve been loving just throwing my Birkenstocks on with it for a relaxed and cool look that can take me comfortably all through the day and into evening.

You may have noticed this Style Series is laid out a little differently. Well basically, I just love the jumpsuit that much that I felt I should dedicate an entire week to ways to wear it rather than just one post!

So stay tuned this week for 2 more ways in which I’ve been styling it up! : )
